The hotel wedding venues in Vancouver are some of my favourites. They are often rich with history and they usually have a number of unique spaces perfect for photos. Plus, where else can you dance the night away and then just go upstairs to go to bed (other than your house)?

There are so many other reasons to love a hotel venue. First off, they help you stay ahead of all the unknowns. Getting married at a hotel, you don’t have to worry about the rain forecast or having to provide guests with bug spray if it’s mosquito season. Second, they have on-site catering—which saves you from adding another vendor to your list. Third, it makes things so easy if you can get ready in the same place as your ceremony and reception!

Hotels are also the ideal place to host your big day if you’re bringing the party here from out of town. If most of your guests are staying at the venue, they’re far more likely to dance the night away and then see you again for brunch the next morning.

We’re so lucky in Vancouver to have incredible hotel venues that offer amazing culinary teams, unparalleled customer service, as well as wedding specialists that work hand-in-hand with planners to create the best possible experiences.

We’ve talked before about the best wedding venues in the city—but today we’re taking a closer look at the seven best hotels you can choose to get married in in Vancouver (plus some honourable mentions!). Take a look and let us know if any others come to mind!

7 HOTEL WEDDING VENUES IN VANCOUVER

#1 FAIRMONT HOTEL VANCOUVER

The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is ideal for the couple dreaming about a classic, opulent space. It’s the epitome of iconic, classic Vancouver, representing the rich history we have in this city. Self proclaimed as the castle in the city, and if you follow us on instagram, you know we have an in on how to get magical wedding photos on the roof.

If you’re not keen on heights, don’t worry. The hotel is filled with ornate staircases that add all the drama to your wedding photos.

#2 FAIRMONT PACIFIC RIM

The Fairmont Pacific Rim gives couples the ideal modern, West Coast experience, paired with the customer service the Fairmonts are known for. The hotel has a number of ballrooms to choose from, so that you can create the ideal space to match your guest count and the experience you want to give them. Whether you’re looking to create a dark, moody setting, or a floral masterpiece, this space lends itself to whatever you want.

#3 FAIRMONT WATERFRONT

Want to luxuriate in Vancouver’s waterfront setting on your wedding night? The Fairmont Waterfront gives couples the perfect waterside views as they dance the night away with their friends and families. A little-known fact about this hotel is that they cultivate honey on their roof, and that honey is introduced into many of the dishes served to wedding guests.

#4 ROSEWOOD HOTEL GEORGIA

A beautiful pairing of the boutique and the luxurious. The Rosewood Hotel Georgia will take your breath away. It has the most classic ballroom that’s filled with natural light—making it the perfect space to make your own. We’ve fallen in love with the rooms, the mantle pieces, and the chandeliers; and I’m certain you will too.

#5 THE SHANGRI-LA

One of my favourite things about the Shangri-La hotel is its world-class customer service. Having your wedding there feels like a dream—it’s like they can anticipate your every need! On top of its original and intimate reception space, it also has wonderful rooms that will spoil your guests rotten.

#6 PARQ VANCOUVER

A relatively new addition to the Vancouver skyline, Parq has two hotels: the JW Marriott and the Douglas. With different styles and atmospheres, you’ll have plenty to choose from in terms of where you host the wedding and where you suggest people stay. Plus, the building has a wealth of amenities from casinos to spas and top-class restaurants.

#7 SUTTON PLACE HOTEL

Another classic in Vancouver, the Sutton Place Hotel is one of my favourites. From a staircase moment to an intimate ballroom that’s ideal for hosting your guests, it has it all. Plus, its events are now being run by the same culinary team behind Boulevard restaurant, which is ideal for couples that are foodies.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS

We’ve talked quite a bit about some of the big hotel venues in the city, but Vancouver also has a lovely selection of small, boutique hotels that are ideal for intimate weddings. The Loden Hotel and the Wedgewood Hotel are two beautiful examples of what the city has to offer in that regard.
