My beloved Mandy and Karl are getting married this month. I have avoided writing this post because, selfishly, I am in denial that our planning journey is nearly done and I am trying to postpone having to say good-bye.

It’s hard to believe that their wedding is just around the corner. Mandy, Karl and I started planning their June 2012 wedding in the summer of 2010, so that they could take their time, enjoy the planning of the wedding and because we knew we would have to work around Karl’s hectic hockey schedule. At times, we have been impatient waiting for the date to arrive, but I think it is going to be worth it. By their wedding day, we will have worked together for over two years and it’s going to be a pretty emotional day all around. Hilary Miles can attest to how invested I am in giving them their dream wedding; I was in her store last week looking at the final mock up of their wedding flowers and I burst into tears of happiness. I want this day to be perfect for them, to truly reflect their personalities and to honor the love they have for each other.

I think the world of these two, as they know. It has been a honor and a joy to get to know them and watch how loving, kind and supportive they are of each other. I even started to pay attention to hockey (talk about stressful!) so I could cheer them both on during the Stanley Cup playoffs and that’s saying a lot.

Mandy + Karl, I wish you a life time of happiness, you deserve nothing less.

Now it’s time to celebrate!

xoxo

Their love was beautifully captured by Sweet Pea photographer, Lori Miles-thank you for letting us share.
